Overview

A Civic Space
Built to Gather.

Jeddah asked for a cultural venue flexible enough to host exhibitions one week and community events the next. The design centres on a column-free main hall with a reconfigurable lighting grid, so the space adapts without a full retrofit each time.

Vivere led architecture and structural engineering, working closely with acoustic and exhibition-lighting consultants throughout design.

How We
Got There.

The brief, the problem it created, and how the design resolved it.

01

Scope

Design a 5,200 m² cultural hub including gallery halls, performance amphitheatre, and community workshops.

02

Challenge

Spanning large column-free exhibition halls under coastal environmental conditions.

03

Solution

Custom post-tensioned concrete structural ribs that double as natural indirect light scoops.

04

Result

Opened on schedule with acclaimed acoustic and architectural flexibility for year-round cultural programming.
