From Sketch to Site: How Our Handoffs Actually Work

Architectural blueprints on a desk

Most construction problems blamed on 'communication' are actually structural — a fact about how the project team is organized. When architecture, engineering and construction sit in three separate companies, intent gets diluted at every handoff.

Keeping all three under one roof does not eliminate handoffs, but it changes what they mean. A construction lead raising a question about a drawing is talking to the person who drew it.

That's the actual mechanism behind fewer surprises on site — not a slogan, just fewer places for the original intent to get lost in translation.
